Canyonlands National Park is about 30 miles from Moab Utah. It has three sections: Island in the Sky, The Needles and the Maze District. Island in the Sky is the highest elevation and looks out over the rest, with the Green and Colorado Rivers, mostly out of sight, flowing through the canyons below. Those two river come together in the middle of Canyonlands. It is another place where different days and different weather make the landscape ever-changing. This area also provides some of the most spectacular back country exploring in America. It is a place where you really feel how insignificant you are in relation to the earth around you.
